At first Ronnie thought that the gargoyle would refuse to move for her, but after a moment it had the common sense to do just that. Good. It wouldn't have boded well if she had been refused access to see her mother - even if she didn't WANT to see her in the first place.
After a moment of hesitation, she began to climb the stairs to the office, wondering what on earth her mother wanted to talk to her about. Probably wanted to catch up on things. Well, if she had cared about Ronnie, she wouldn't have wanted that divorce from dad; she would have wanted to make their family work despite everything to happen. Needless to say that by the time she reached the door, she was in a rather agitated state.
