He listened to her request and thought it was a great idea. "Professor Hirsch was right. I am a very avid animal rights activist, and seeing things as I saw them that day really upset me," he paused for a moment, sighing, "But I did let my anger get the best of me that day, and I do apologize for that. I do appreciate you wanting to earn the points back. I accept your offer." He rubbed his chin for a moment, "I can always use help with the horse stalls. All you would have to do is make sure their hay is clean and see if they need more. If it isn't clean a quick scorgify will do. I don't expect you to scoop poop. You can always give them carrots and apples and a good rub if you want as well. The love attention." He said with a grin and a wink. "If you do that for...five days I will give you ten points, two points per day. Is that a deal?" He asked putting his hand out for her to shake.

A thought occurred to him, "What exactly where you doing with that lizard? And...what is your yellow question?" He said with a grin.
Her heart had been absolutely pounding in her chest while she waited. Despite her best arguments, there was still a chance he'd say no--and she'd have to accept it and move on to another of her three point question--but it would be disappointing all the same. Just the idea of the no and the lecture that might have come after were enough to send her into a mini panic attack.

Wait what?? It was a deal?? For real???

Hardly able to believe her ears, Jessa reached forward giving a firm shake of the Professor's hand. There was something of a grin there too, one that spoke to her obvious disbelief. "Yes! Definitely! I can do that." This...was starting out far better than she'd imagined. "I'll be there after lunch tomorrow!"

His question took her off guard but she quickly recovered. "Oh. That. Well you know how reptiles have the ability to keep growing until they die? Specifically snakes and some species of lizards? Well garden lizards are predisposed to smaller sizes and relatively smaller growth. I wanted to see the potential for growth otherwise, to see if it'd stick there--kinda like those people who put charms on certain magical creatures to keep them from growing too big and exposing the wizarding world--which I also wanna know about."

Which brought her to the yellow card. "Professor Hirsch brought up a point I liked. See....I don't learn much through questions and books on their own." Kinesthetic learner and all. "And he suggested I ask if you'd allow me to continue some of my experiments under your supervision, in a controlled environment."
