"I think it was a ginger root, dandelion, mint leaf, and rosemary mix. It was pretty terrible, not the least because I didn't wash the dirt of the roots before plunking it in the hot water."

He thought she was trouble? What did that mean, though? Was it good? Bad? Endearing? Annoying? Why was it that even when people said what they meant, it wasn't always perfectly clear?

She peered at his notes. Molasses, kelp powder, alaria leaf, and sea salt were very likely to be available in the cupboard. Octopus bits... hm. Less so, but they could check. "You're very good at working off book. Most people don't trust the ingredients enough, I think. Let's try the molasses, kelp, and sea salt. It's already a pretty stable potion from my experience, but with new ingredients... castor oil can't hurt. Can you check the cupboard?" Because the potion was JUST hitting a boil, and Katy was ready to add the salamander.
