Yep, he was invisible. The invisible boy. First, the girls didn't even notice HE was sitting next to the older girl first and now the professor didn't even care to recognize his answers. So that gave Eddie all the realization he needed to sit back and work on his snake research. No one cared what he did in this school they had made that obvious. As long as he came to class that's all they cared about, maybe not even that.
He looked around the room and just made mental notes about a few people before putting his nose back in his book. Once he could find the loophole to parseltongue he'd show them all who they should have been ignoring and who they should have been watching and talking to.
