It seemed she wasn't the only one upset by the 'foresight' of the Professor. Not surprising. The unknown was frightening enough without someone proposing that they could see into it and that it didn't look good for you. It just wasn't the way people wanted to think about a concept that they wouldn't possibly be able to fully assess until it was there before them and no longer the future.
Jessa spared Stasya a glance, noting that Emmeline was getting ready to step in if it was needed--hopefully it wouldn't be. With any luck the girl would also shake free of the false fear that came with something they couldn't know for a fact to be truth or wild guessing.
