BABIES!!!!!
And, and, they could maybe take one HOME! This was the best news Emmeline had had all term! She raced to pick up a form, scrambled back to her seat, and wrote down the details in such excitement that the ink was all blotchy and unreadable. Her heart was hammering like mad, because she really wanted to take care of a baby Niffler; Nifflers were her favorite creatures in the barn! But so many creatures were so awesome that she was sure she would love taking care of any of them. Frowning down at the parchment, Emmeline pulled her wand from her holster and muttered: "Evanesco!" to get rid of the messy ink that made no sense as it was. Forcing herself to take deep breaths, she proceded to fill out the form again so that the professor could actually read it. That was important, you know. She'd made sure to pick creatures that could possibly live at home too, so sadly things like winged horses were out.
Emmeline tapped her foot impatiently until the ink was dry enough that she was sure it wouldn't smudge or anything before jumping off the hay bale and running to the blackboard again. She carefully laid her parchment in the extra credit box, and beamed at Professor Wayland: "Thank you soooo much for letting us look after babies!" Today really was a dream come true for the Gryffindor, and did she mention how excited she was?
