Yo, Hogwarts kids, is this real gold?

From behind the Ilvermony girl (Keaton) Aslan Evans stood with a brow curiously raised and her arms gently folded. "Yes, matter of fact." She said, wordlessly slipping into the seat by Jessa while the opportunity presented itself. Her red and Gold robes ousted her as a member of the other table, but the seventh year hardly cared. She was too busy being relieved at the relative quiet here to be concerned with something as unimportant as if she looked like she belonged.

Hadley Denaker and Jessa Cambridge were already making nice and talking up the inevitable storm. Aslan leaned in, her chin settled on her fist as she listened to the comparisons between Horned Serpents and Ravenclaws. It was, much more interesting than the display of outright americanism that had been happening at her table and she found herself wondering if Gryffindor was to... Whatever those students happened to be as Horned Serpent was to Ravenclaw.

It would certainly make sense, Gryffindors aside from herself and a few others were known to be brash, loud, daring and extroverted and those particular americans all fit that bill rather well, in her opinion.

Seated here with the Ravenclaws and Horned serpents, Aslan couldn't help wondering what her life might have been like had the Hat second guessed his choice and placed her here instead..... Quieter, certainly but no less frustrating given how well (or not) she got on with those who lived and breathed with the house.

Lost in thought, Aslan was only half listening when the subject of the Champions to come stole a bit of her attention. She blinked. "Who do you think they'll pick?" she asked Hadley and Jessa, her tone as cool and calm as if she had always been involved in this conversation.
