Abey had flown on a broom hundreds and thousands and millions and dozens of times, but it didn't at ALL compare to flying via PHOENIX. Hand in hand with Derf, he approached the BIG BEAUTIFUL BIRD, practically BUZZING with excitement. Adding on to what Derf had said (and nodding because yes, him too, him too!), Abey spoke in Arabic, "Hi Ash, I'm Abey and I'm native to Egypt too!" because in his mind Ash would totally understand him because EGYPT. ARABIC. AHHHHHH.

Then, firmly but VERY GENTLY EVEN THOUGH HE WAS MEGA EXCITED, Abey reached out to hold onto Ash's tail feathers too, and squeezed Derf's hand as he did so.

"EEEEEEEEE!" he squealed excitedly as the pair of them were lifted up into the air, and Abey suddenly felt like he didn't weigh anymore than a feather or anything, that if he let go he would simply float back down to Earth. NOT that he was going to let go, even if it wasn't much of a drop, BECAUSE HE WAS TOUCHING A PHOENIX AHHHHH!

This was such a beautiful day and an amazing thing and Abey thought he was going to cRY he was so overwhelmed with emotion. GOOD EMOTION.
