As far as Declan was concerned there was zero need for fanfare. They were just kids like everyone else in the castle. He tried to avoid rolling his eyes as he looked away from the arrivals and down to the book he was currently staring at it. It was hard to actually absorb any of its words when everyone was talking in excited hushed whispers about the Ilvermony kids. Unable to concentrate further, he heaved a sigh as he shut his book.

Aurora?

"Hey," he greeted back. Swallowed and cleared his throat as he thought of an introduction. Keep it simple, Stupid.. "Declan Kenning. Welcome to Hogwarts," he finished in a drawl and before the flush in his face could become evident, Declan opened his book once more and brought it close to his face until he hid behind it.

Olly's voice made him feel more at ease and he smiled behind his book. Still, it wasn't enough to bring him back out. He flipped to the next page instead.
