Duncan Williams was not a man who was easily impressed and that still remained to be the case today. If the journey to this forsaken place was any indication of the way the competition was going to turn out, then he was personally going to turn this Beetle around right now. The need to impress other humans made people stupider than they already were.
As it were, the Potions Professor took his long limbs out of the trunk of the Beetle and looked around at his surroundings. The word dull came to mind. Dull, gray and boring. Did the British send their kids to a school like this? Psh. No taste, no class and no sense of style. But their overenthusiastic and downright annoying Head didn't make the situation any better. He shot a look at her when she pulled out that annoying equipment and started demanding selfies. Here. In front of everyone.
The urge to roll his eyes was so real.
A smirk was the only accessory he added onto his face for this selfie spam but when it was over, he resumed his neutral expression. His neutral, judging expression. Eyes glanced over everyone there, judging every Hogwartian, staff and student, based on their appearance and the way they were poised. It was then that he leaned over towards Melanie and said very quietly, "Flour." She would understand.
Duncan really did roll his eyes that next second. When was Miles Jones going to get it into his head that he was about as popular as the Hogwarts Head was back at Ilvermorny? "Mr Jones," he hissed so that only he could hear, "If you don't behave properly, I will make you sleep on the floor." Or in the Hogwarts dorm rooms. He can't imagine those being any better.
Straightening up, he looked up at the British folk and gave them somewhat of a smile. It was there. When his eyes found who he assumed to be Regina, he stole a glance at Melanie and raised an eyebrow. Was this her? The heartbreaker and elitist? Maybe it was a good thing that she had run off to teach at this awful place. Ilvermorny didn't need people like her around.
