He went with one by one.

The water in his cauldron had bubbles everywhere so the boy took as a sign to add the berries andthen squeeze the juice out of the shrivelfig. He did not use protective gloves, so while the potion began to turn purple, Levi used his wand to scourge the hand he'd used with to extract the juice.

Kettleburn seemed to be doing well enough, he supposed, though she was missing the usual glint she always sported for more practical lessons like Defense the Dark Arts. He frowned, looking back at his cauldron and noting the purple tint coloring his concoction. He cleansed his stir stick, and began the clockwise countdown from ten to one, watching the brew slowly begin to darken.

"What's dark enough to be considered the exact shade dark purple, Kettleburn?" Four, three, two, one. In a whisper, he continued: "Visual aids would be nice, right? It's just kind of subjective, I think." In his opinion, the steps to correctly brew a potion could not be subjective or left open for interpretation. There needed to be clarity and precision and, oh, bother--Levi tsked at himself and hastily began the counter-clockwise countdown from five to one.

At least it looked dark enough. "D'you think we'll be able to keep a sample? Seems fair to me, honestly." Reward for a job (presumably)
well done.
Putting the shrivelfig in was easy enough, Char used impervius on her hands to protect against stains then squeezed the juice in. wait though.....Did drop the shrivelfig mean drop it in or just..... drop it like you just got caught red (or purple) handed doing something bad? Ummmmm..... Char cast her eyes around then decided drop it in was what people were doing so it went in with a plop. Light purple? Was it light purple? Looked light purple.... Okay yes. Stirring next. Oh boy stirring was tedious though, having to count stirs and ughhhh. Ten anti clockwise..... Char moved her stirrer quickly through the motions (more like 9 and a half).... Five clockwise (more like 5 and a quarter).....

She looked up at Levi, doubt creeping in. "There are SO many shades of purple. Also this would be so hard for colorblind people." And yes, visual aids would so help. Hers looked dark purple though.... Maybe not deep dark? But dark.

She wasn't so sure about keeping her own potion but she would happily try Levi's. "It won't be full invisibility though right? More like disillusionment?" She dropped the cherries in next, followed by the glitter. Was that just to be pretty??? Char lost her place in the instructions for a second so was delayed in turning off the heat, but she hurried to get it off then tossed the leaves in.

Basically half way thankfully. Nghyuuuh. Char really wished she was better at potions.
