Unforgivably Cursed | adultescent As things seemed to be more under control, Henry thought he could focus a little better. As long as he kept his mind on his potion and not on.... oh, was that a little finger wiggle he spied? He returned that with a smirky grin and a little finger wiggle of his own.
Oh, right.. where was he again? Back to focusing on the potion, and it seemed that his water was starting to boil over so he quickly turned down the flame on his burner before turning to his notes again.
He tossed in the juniper berries, then.. oh. Well, that was nice of his Ravenclaw neighbor to save half of his shrivelfig for him. Henry voiced his thanks, reminded himself that the middle of his potion was not the best time to make new friends, and he squeezed the juice of it into his cauldron before dropping it in.
Glancing at the instructions again, he peered into his cauldron. It was purple at least. Maybe it passed for a light purple. He dipped his stirring spoon into the mixture next for ten counter clockwise, then five clockwise turns. It was still that kind of medium purple color, but it was darker than it was, right? He squinted at it a moment. Yeah, definitely darker.
Henry tossed in the cherries and glitter next, then turned off the heat. He was still kind of curious about how the essence of demiguise was acquired - had that been addressed? If it had, he missed it in the earlier chaos - but tried not to think about it too much so as not to get too distracted. Two of the moth wings got dipped into the tincture, then went into the potion. The pearl dust was next - BAM! - and Henry paused to watch his potion burn a few moments. That was kinda cool.
