Brewing post 2 YesJess! | Captain Goggles | Mama Badger | Eva's Soul Sister | An OG™ | It's all in the Numbers Heat was off, which was probably a good thing, because all this fire in the potions classroom always terrified Skylar, even though she'd brewing a couple years now. She added the dried leaves next, definitely not interested in trying this potion. First glitter, now leaves? She shook her head in amusement, as she dropped one .... two... three ... four ... five leaves in.
Okay, the next step was slightly weird. Dip moth wings in demiguise tincture and then add them to the cauldron. Now, was it supposed to be a full out coating, or just a half dip? Figuring more was probably better, Skylar slipped on some protective gloves, as stuck the whole leaf in the tincture vial and pulled it out to add it. And then did the same with a second one. And reaction time! Well once she added the pearl dust; how much was she supposed to add, again? The whole vial? Just a little? Skylar frowned, as she sprinkled a few shakes of the dust into her cauldron and the potion sizzled for about a minute.
And another moth wing coated in the tincture was added. She stirred five times counter clockwise, then ten times clockwise. Her potion was kind of an off-white and she wondered if she hadn't added enough of the pearl dust. But then again, silvery-white seemed so vague and broad, so perhaps it was alright.
Oh, and no more coating moth wings in tincture. Oh wait, that meant the third one wasn't supposed to be coated either? Shrugging, because it seemed like it didn't hurt anything, she added the final moth wing and then placed the cheese cloth over her cauldron. Five minutes, which was enough time to clean up her scrap ingredients and grab an empty vial to fill for later for the professor to check her potion's viability.
