no potion squad~~ Mrs. Alex Turner *asterisks user* Secret Door That giggle, quiet as it had been, so quiet that Daisy had almost missed it, was precious and the Slytherin found herself grinning widely at the younger boy. This felt satisfying, which was, frankly, strange. Daisy was used to making children laugh but usually they were family - she didn't remember ever speaking to Abey, in fact she was pretty sure she never had, and yet that giggle made her happy. Hm. Human beings truly were remarkable.
Ready as she had been to sit down on the floor and wait this out with Abey, she was glad that the second year felt calm enough to return to his seat. She looked towards the direction he was pointing to, recognising one student but not really the other -- oh, that was funny. And handy, too. She turned back to him and scrunched up her nose. "So you get your desk and your cousin. Lucky." Hopefully that would keep him from freaking out during the rest of the lesson. Enough tears for Mr. Botros, she thought.
Keeping his hand in hers, she stood up and glanced around the classroom, surprised to find everybody almost done with the potion. That was -- terribly predictable, actually. She turned back to Abey, only this time looking down. "Let's get you to your desk, then." Her gaze found Professor Canterbury again, but she seemed too busy, or distracted, to notice the two students walking around the classroom, which suited her just fine, to be honest. And -- oh, she hadn't told him her name. Oops. Grinning, the shook the hand she was holding."Oh, I'm Daisy. And you're Abey." See? They were good now. |
