With another glance at the ingredients list, Olivia turned her focus back to the cauldron to see the water was boiling. Right. Time to get this potion started. She added 5 juniper berries to the mixture and then slipped on her gloves so that she wouldn't hurt herself when handling the Shrivelfig. Taking a knife, she carefully cut the Shrivelfig in half and then took the half and squeezed the juice out of it. Once the juice was all gone, she dropped it into the cauldron. Noticing that the liquid had turned a light purple colour. Interesting. Next, Olivia picked up a spoon and stirred the liquid ten times counterclockwise. Then five times clockwise. One. Two. Three. Four. Five. With every stir, the concoction was becoming a deeper and deeper shade of purple.

Then she took her spoon out of the cauldron and rest it on the side to see what her next step was. Cherries. Scooping up six cherries, she carefully plopped them into the mixture along with the silver coloured glitter. Olivia turned off the heat and let the mixture sit for a few moments. Then she turned her attention to the moth wings. Glancing at her notebook, she checked the next step. Ugh. Dipping two of them into the tincture of Demigusise. That sounded wonderful. She quickly dipped the moth wings in, with one in each hand, and then plopped them into the cauldron. Drying off her hands on a towel nearby, she then grabbed a vial of pearl dust. Alright. When she added this to the mixture, then a reaction would ensue. This was the exciting moment. What would happen? Would it turn foamy and burst like elephant toothpaste? She hoped not.... The Professor certainly wouldn't appreciate that and Olivia would probably have to spend the whole rest of the day scrubbing down the potions classroom.

Adding the pearl dust to the mixture, Olivia took a step back (so that her head wasn't over the cauldron) and watched as the mixture began burning. Okay. That was right. Now she would just have to wait for the reaction to burn out.
