When Oliver said he would like to hold her, Tristan put his hand up to Dahlia and she walked her little limpy walk onto his hand. He then rest his hand next to Oliver's, allowing Dahlia to step over to the boy's hand. "There you are. Bowtruckles are very intelligent creatures..if you talk to her she will understand you." He said with a smile.

"Oh, yes. You can go to any tree and find Wood Lice all in them. They are those tiny little brown critters that are no bigger than a grain of rice. They are very easily found, and you can freeze them and save them for a long time. Bowtruckles will eat them anyway you have them, though they do prefer fresh." Which was obvious, but you know...the more you know. Tristan enjoyed having educational talks with his students. It was refreshing to share his knowledge of all things creatures. Some people thought he was strange for liking animals so much, but he didn't care. Sometimes he preferred creatures to humans, but most of the time he enjoyed interacting with people, especially in moments like these.
