The caffeine was really getting to her. Tristan grinned at the first student to arrive, nodding his head, "Hello, Olivia! Very well and you?" He chuckled as she curtsied at her. Not exactly what he was going for with his throne, but he would take it. "Thank you very much! I made it myself." He said with a grin. Quote:

Yep. "Good day, Dora. Hogwarts is my home, so I find it far more than alright." Tristan said with a wink and a smile. This one seemed a bit nervous to talk to him and went as far away from him as she could...interesting. Quote:

Hope you are well....as well." He said with a chuckle, watching as she moved to sit next to Olivia. They still had a bit before class started so hopefully more students would arrive shortly. Quote:

Tristan was surprised that not only was a prefect riding around on some kind of hover board type thing, he also couldn't believe that he brought it to class with him. "Morning, Tenacious. If you would please deposit that contraption by the barn, and please don't bring it to this class anymore. It may scare the creatures, and we wouldn't want to be stampeded by Abraxans now would we?" He said with a wink, "You can pick it up after class is over." He smiled and awaited the next student. Quote:

It is quite comfy." He said with a grin as the young girl made her way to take a seat. So many compliments on his throne...he may just have to do something different with it next term...maybe a lounge chair....Who knows! Quote:

Hopefully his lesson would continue that good mood. "Always am, Olivia! You seem to be very chipper today as well!" He said with a smile and watched as the older girl sat with Elora, the first year. It was so nice to see older students helping out younger students. Quote:

Spotting Dora at the faaaaaaar back, Mason walked towards her and sat down next to her. "Can you believe that throne" he whispered, low enough so that only Dora could hear and rolled his eyes. Though some people didn't seem to think the throne was funny. He really didn't care. Tristan made it so he wouldn't have to stand uncomfortably waiting for all the students to arrive. Mason didn't realize that the look he was trying not to make was noticed, but that was alright. "Good day to you, Mason." He said with a small smile. Watching as the boy whispered something to Dora and rolled his eyes. He just ignored it. He was probably just trying to impress the girl anyway. Quote:

Maybe she could sneak over and visit her squirrel again afterward, or even sneak him out to watch the lesson. It was something she’d figure out after she got there, and she’d given the professor on his hay throne a big grin. “G’morning Professor Wayland! Is that a phoenix on your mug?” "Morning, Stasya! It is indeed!" Tristan said with a smile. The young girl was in the barn very often checking in on her Red Squirrel, which made him happy to know that she took such good care of him. She would be of great help in the future. Quote:

If a adult could do it than she could do the same. Hmpf! "Hello, Leesha!" Tristan wiggled around in his throne of hay a little, "It could be more comfortable, but it is hay after all. A bit itchy." He said with a wink and a smile. Hay was significantly itchy...he would have to figure out a spell to make it not itchy...or you know...use something that wasn't itchy. Quote:

If I were a King, certainly, but I am not, therefore I shan't." He said with a grin. Though he kinda wished had a sword now.... Quote:

So many students were showing up he was starting to get that little nervous flutter. But he knew it would be alright. Quote:

Now what would they be learning today? Something fun, probably! It was always fun! Except when there was too much homework.. but she would remain hopeful and positive about that too. "Hello, Charlotte...or would you rather Char? Whatever you prefer really." He said with a smile. Tristan only wanted his students to be happy so he would call them by any name they wanted him to. (Certain potions were clearly working to her advantage). This greeting made Tristan chuckle the most. "Good morning, Noelle. Professor will do just fine, thank you." He said with a grin.
He went to take a sip of his tea and chuckled, shaking his had, then took a big swallow. All this talking...he was going to need some water for sure. Quote:

"This one too, in case Derf wants a throne?" "Hello, Jessa!" He said with a smile and watched as she picked a bale of hay. Then the girl asked if he could make two more thrones, promising not to usurp. He smiled, "Sorry, Jessa. I only had enough extra to make this one." He said with a wink. Quote:

Please please please please please?? Tristan couldn't help but chuckle at Derf's excitement. Though he was a handful, he was a good kid. "Hello, Derfael. Yes it is a Phoenix on my mug, and you will just have to wait and see what we are doing today." He said with a wink. He didn't want to ruin the surprise. Quote:

"Morning Professor," the fourth year smiled as she glanced around for an empty hay bale to sit on, even though she doubted they would be sitting for long. "Morning, Skylar." Tristan said with a smile and a nod. Man, his class was really filling up..he might have to.....dethrone himself. The thought made him kind of sad, but he would if he had to.
Though he hoped he wouldn't... Quote:

Were they going to be working with horses maybe? Whatever it was he was sure it would be fun. "Good morning professor," he greeted before heading to find a seat. He selected an empty spot next to Char, hoping she wouldn't mind. "Hey Char," he said with a smile. She found the hay bales a bit much, but it was too much effort to form any sort of concrete opinion about them. Offering the professor a smile and a wave, she made her way towards one of the hay bales off to the side (away from people) and sat down. Her fatigue had really gotten the best of her, because if she was more alert she would've definitely noticed her friends (and other acquaintances that she tolerated in an attempt to keep up appearances) and greeted them properly. But, unfortunately, she was too tired to care. A quiet...sleepy one. He understood. It was early.
Hopefully the lesson would perk her up. He smiled and nodded at her anyway. Quote:

He was definitely going to have to do something different next time though. Quote:

Roo found it funny that the Professor was sat on a makeshift throne and it tickled every part of his love of the spotlight. He reached gently for the nearest of Olivia's hands, giving it a squeeze and her a gentle smile. It took Tristan's everything not to snort at Rooney's corny line. Though he was pretty sure the Head Boy meant it. He heard about their great romance from the other professor's. He Smiled and waved back, giving the young man a thumbs up. Way to keep the romance alive! Quote:

Another quiet one, which again was ok, but he did make sure to greet everyone as the entered it was only polite to give him the same courtesy. He smiled and nodded, nonetheless. Quote:

He really needed to finish it before class started. Quote:

Finally, someone who was talking to him! "Morning, Henry!" Tristan gave the boy a smile and a wave, watching as he took a seat next to Charlotte and Oliver. Quote:

Tristan said with a grin as the young girl went and sat with her friends. He really hoped all the students enjoyed this lesson. From what he had heard, it had been a very long time since this particular creature had been used in a lesson. Quote:

He wasn't sure if the professor remembered his name or not, but none of the other kids had said their names, so Brent didn't either. Tristan had just taken a rather large gulp of his tea when the young man had greeted him, so he quickly swallowed, coughing a little. "Morning, Brent." He said with a smile. Quote:

Tristan said with a chuckle and watched as she took a seat. He wasn't expecting to many more students to show up. He was going to have to start class soon. Quote:

Giving a nod to the professor he headed for an empty seat. At least he got some kind of acknowledgment from Edward. He nodded back to the young man, with a smile on his face. Quote:

"Morning, Cassandra." He said, then looked down at his watch. He noticed a couple more stragglers heading this way. They had a couple minutes before he was going to start. Quote:

Spotting Derf sitting in the front, she bounced over to him and plopped down beside him. "Hey Derf! Has he said what we're studying today?" "Hello, Emmeline. You are just in time." He said with a grin and a wink. As the last student took her seat, Tristan stood up. It was time to start the lesson! With a flick of his wand, his hay throne dismantled and neatly stacked itself against the outside of the barn wall. "Good morning, and welcome to today's Care of Magical Creatures lesson!" He paused, and took a breath. "There are many magical creatures that deal with fire in their own unique ways. For example, dragons breathe fire, Ashwinders are born from fire, Fire Crabs shoot flames from their shells." He paused, "But today we aren't going to be working with any of those. Today we will be working with an animal far more majestic, and uses fire in a more unique way." With that, he paused again and whistled a very lovely tune. A few moments later, a beautiful Phoenix flew over the roof of the barn, and soon landed on the professor's outstretched arm. The bird then nudged his cheek in a demanding way. Smiling, Tristan gave him a treat. "This is my Phoenix, Ash. I have had him for quiet some time, and if you have ever come to visit me at my hut or the barn I am sure you have already seen him flying around." He smiled, and rubbed the sweet bird on the neck. "Now that we have him here, maybe you can answer me this question. What magical abilities do Phoenixes posses?" After he asked the question, Ash started to sing one of his beautiful melodies. It immediately calmed Tristan down. Apparently, he was more nervous than he realized. OOC: Thanks for coming yall! Class has officially started so please keep the chatter to a minimum, if you haven't posted your charrie in here and want to, please feel free to jump right in and pretend as though they've been here the entire time. Please remember that if you show up late there will be IC consequences.
I will be moving the class along again in roughly 22-24 hours.
