Sixth Year

Default Kettleburn and Derf.
Wowza!

He had some questions but in reality none of them were necessarily directly related to the professor's words or what they were supposed to be doing, so the Gryffindor boy kept quiet. His plan was to take detailed notes but mostly he wrote not chameleon based, just DEMISGUISE. He underlined the latter several times, determined to head to the library later and do some research.

It was in moments like this when he wondered if not bothering with Care of Magical Creatures had been a good idea.

Oh, points had been docked for tardiness? That struck him as unnecessary, especially since the kid looked like a first year and had admitted to getting lost. But, whatever.

And then there was vomit. From Derfael.

Never a boring day at Hogwarts.

"Huh."

Levi tapped his foot against the foot of his work station twice. Then set to use the clear liquid as instructed. Because he couldn't see what he was writing with the clear liquid, it was impossible for him to tell if his round, slightly scrawly penmanship was legible. But the boy wrote NEVER THOUGHT I'D SEE THE DAY IN WHICH NOTE-PASSING WOULD BE ALLOWED IN CLASS, KB in a parchment and slid it over to Charlotte.

..."You good, Derfael?" Obviously not. And neither was the Ravenclaw girl next to him (Jessa) whose name escaped him, just then. Or possibly always. Unbeknownst that his words had helped the Hufflepuff boy's reaction, Levi stood up and walked over him. One of the new Gryffindors (Emmeline) seemed to be there for the boy, so Levi sent her a small smile and placed his hand on the boy's shoulder. Then he addressed the professor. "Should I take care of the vomit, Professor Canterbury?" Probably, Derf would have to be excused. Surely.
