He watched the boy a bit. He knew he was older and he had seen him around school last term, but Eddie didn't know exactly how smart he was. Could he do his homework and get passing marks? He was a puffer too, so that could make it easier to get him to do his homework if he tried to say he was just needing help.

He glanced back at his snake, "I've been practicing. I'm going to get him to understand me soon. Want to see?" He looked at his book at the page that talked about different words that were known. He looked back at the snake "Ssssssss ssssssss s hisssssssss " Yeah he had no clue what he was doing, but no one else really had to know that and he could fake it until he figured it out.

Letting go of the mouse he watched Charles go slithering toward it and eat his dinner. "Perfect, see he knew the direction to go because I told him." Yep he was faking this so well.
