Only her heart wasn't really in it today. Or her mind wasn't. Her mind kept wandering and distracting her. And the tube shaped fluffball dancing at her trying to get her to play wasn't helping of course.
Hadley scooped her ferret up and gave him a kiss on top of his head when she heard a voice, a young voice by the sound of it, asking if anyone was there.
"Nope." She couldn't resist. "Just your imagination, kid." Looking around a bit, Hads spotted the speaker and flashed him a grin. "I'm Hadley, and this," she held up the ferret, "is Asher."
Daniel was standing there, not expecting an answer. When suddenly someone spoke to him and then she held something up-to him.
"ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!" Daniel scream. "A Man eating monster!" Yeah and with that he turned and legged it to the other end of the corridor.
