The fourth floor corridor was surprisingly quiet today. Just busy enough to keep Hads from total boredom, without being too busy to think. Only her heart wasn't really in it today. Or her mind wasn't. Her mind kept wandering and distracting her. And the tube shaped fluffball dancing at her trying to get her to play wasn't helping of course.

Hadley scooped her ferret up and gave him a kiss on top of his head when she heard a voice, a young voice by the sound of it, asking if anyone was there.

"Nope." She couldn't resist. "Just your imagination, kid." Looking around a bit, Hads spotted the speaker and flashed him a grin. "I'm Hadley, and this," she held up the ferret, "is Asher."
