History:

Meredith grew up in Salem with her family up until the time her parents divorced when she was ten years old. Though the two remained close even after their divorce, Meredith’s father decided to return to London where he was raised. It was decided that Ellis and Meredith would go with him so that they could attend Hogwarts, the school both parents deemed best for their children. As Evie was just a toddler at the time, she remained with Libby in Salem and the two older children returned each summer break to be with their mother. Though the split and move were hard on Meredith, her spirits remained high.

At Hogwarts Meredith excelled in the areas of Charms and History of Magic, though her true passion remained Muggle Studies. Having a muggle mother gave her a different perspective and she immersed herself in the muggle world as much as possible, appreciating her magic more because of her experiences. Summers were spent doing some of the more daring muggle activities with her older brother when they were both old enough. Sky diving and bungee jumping were among her favorite activities.

Uni proved to be a lot of work for the brunette and though Meri had confidence for days, she struggled her way through the rigorous program she was in. Her personality helped, earning her many friends in the same major who helped support her and offered her advice that aided in getting her through the program. She even earned high marks, something she’s been known to brag about on occasion.

Meredith married her university sweetheart, Callum, a year and a half after they graduated from school. The two remained in Salem and started their family there, and though she had her mother and sister close by, Meredith missed her father and brother who remained in London. This is why returning there when a job opened at Hogwarts was a no brainer. As Callum’s job allowed for him to relocate without much fuss, the Moxley family packed up and moved across the pond, as they say.

Moxley enjoyed her time as a Muggle Studies professor immensely and went out of her way to get Hogwartians excited about the subject matter. Her enthusiasm and commitment to her students seemed to help and she was offered the Headmistress position at the school after the beloved Headmaster Botros fell ill. While there, she did her best to lead with a firm hand and an open heart.

When Moxley was offered the opportunity to switch places with another Headmistress or Headmaster and lead in a different school community, she accepted, and landed a spot in Ilvermorny where she remained. The school and location reminded her of her childhood and memories she'd made in New England.

Personality:

Meredith can be a bit of a handful. She loves to have fun and has always been outgoing and completely confident in who she is. She’s sometimes loud and her tendency to be overly blunt with people has rubbed some the wrong way ~~though others find it hilarious, honestly~~. She thinks she’s funny, much funnier than she actually is. Who says laughing at your own jokes is a bad thing, yeah? She’ll never back down from a dare as long as she won’t hurt her family or get fired for completing it. She encourages out of the box thinkers. She hates whiners. You’ll either love her or hate her and she’ll be the same way with you but if you win her over, she’ll be your friend for life.
