Simon couldn’t help but shake his head as he made his way up the final stairs of the current staircase to the safety of Level 2. How in Merlin’s beard Level 3 had managed the damage they did to their wards? The security man didn’t entirely know. Though sometimes he wondered if A&C was in reference to the accidents and catastrophes they were in charge of fixing out in the wizarding and muggle worlds…or what happened within their own department from time to time. At least it was all fixed the moment, the extra work having interrupted his planned rounds.

Walking through the lift area, he spotted a familiar face, smiling as he approached even as the woman’s restlessness was made evident. “Fancy meeting you here, Victoria,” Simon remarked in greeting. “What brings you to Level 2? Was there something you needed?” The security man couldn’t help but wonder if he had missed an appointment, even if unplanned.
