He groaned outloud and glanced across the table to look at his dormmate. "Did it take this long last year?" he asked. Maybe he should have eaten more on the train. He thought he'd had plenty given everyone he ran into seemed to shove food in his direction.
Not that he minded, if being friends with girls meant free food and free sports games, he would not complain. Liam directed his attention across the table when he heard another familiar voice. "Probably," he told Slate. "It just didn't seem like it because we were the ones up there." He nodded to the sorting hat, frowning. Six years of waiting were in their future, apparently. Something to look forward to.
