A new term, another school year, her third to be exact. Laurel took her seat near the center of the table, next to the Headmistreess seat and pulled her green and silvery shawl closer around her shoulders to fend off the slight chilly air. The blonde and newly appointed Slytherin Head of House evidenced by the green snake pin pinned to her white and glittery dress, glanced over to Justin's empty seat and sighed heavily knowing full well that the groundskeeper seat soon enough would be filled by someone that wasn't her cousin.
Determinedly Laurel forced those sad thoughts away hoping that one of her colleagues would arrive soon to distract her thoughts to happier and cheerier topics. She wouldn't mind a quiet and peaceful feast night without any student antics over by the Slytherin Table on her first night in charge of the house, but this was a school.
