Kirk took out from his small bag the latest issue of The Quibbler and flipped over to the sports section to read. Skylar had mixed emotions about summer being over already, mostly because it had been a summer that was definitely memorable. It wasn't necessarily good, because while the summer started out with her treating her bestie for manicure treatments to cheer her up, it seemed unnecessary, since the girl was much to her dissatisfaction, now back with Luca. Then there was Noah being gone for most of the summer and now not returning to Hogwarts, quite suddenly too, which left Skylar little choice but to return without Noah, two years earlier than expected. While she did like the girl, it just wasn't going to be the same without Noah there, nor did it seem like him to just leave his studies behind over some girl. At least there was quidditch, which was definitely one of the highlights. And a lunch that was not-a-date, but kind of was, and it was just so ... perfectly bliss and appropriate. Lastly there was that brouhaha at the conclusion of summer; camping with her fellow students and while she liked some of the people there, she did find herself wishing someone else could have been there.
Opening a compartment that had seemed quiet and hopefully empty, Sky frowned when she saw someone who seemed vaguely familiar, but engrossed in a magazine. It was rather late to be finding an empty compartment, so she supposed this one ought to be one of the most quiet she could find. Making a quick decision, she entered fully and took the seat opposite him so she could look out the window. "Hope you don't mind my joining you. I don't plan to be terribly loud." She gave a half of smile, as she leaned her head back to close her eyes and replay the summer events for the hundredth time.
