He'd never expected to be forcefully removed from them.

Which was fine. It wouldn't really affect him. But it still stung enough that the boy was not resolute to pretend all of three subjects just simply weren't part of the Hogwarts curriculum anymore. Clearly, if Levi Kenning could not have them as choices, then they must have been canceled.

"I did well." It was a perfectly acceptable response. He paid for three cauldron cakes and one chocolate frog. "No yelling at home about them, at least." Not that his parents had been pleased about the two Ps and that one A. But. "So, I'm good. Are you ready for your OWLs, though?"

Mel grinned as she heard Levi’s laugh and couldn’t help but laugh at the answer to her question. ”Oh…there’s always time, except for me…that’s always what I lose first,” she added in a sigh for dramatic effect though really the sigh was more at the food ahead of them.

She wanted all of it – well, not all but there was a good load of food that seemed utterly divine. ”I’m glad to hear it” Mel smiled softly at the still much taller Gryffindor boy…seriously what was this cruel joke that all of the boys in the school even her closest friends were pulling on her? They made her feel like a miniature doll in a doll house compared to a living breathing wizard…”oh merlin, I’m not entirely ready at all?...i’m almost certain you’ll be the one finding my lost knickknacks this term while I’m off studying.”

Studying. That wasn’t entirely what she wanted to do all term long as well, there were adventures to be had…and possible friend people to go on very awkward date-things with? No, no they weren’t date things they were dates. The fifth year still hadn’t wrapped her head around the fact that she was sort of dating someone…a non-exclusive mess that made her head hurt when she really tried to think about it.

That would have to be discussed some time that year…after all; it wasn’t like she had had any time for discussions over summer with the baking. ”oh! I have something if you want something to eat while waiting,” she said as she pulled a small tin out of her bag. ”It’s got little things from my aunts shop that I made this summer in it! Like cookies, brittle, if it was sold at the shop there’s one in there…that, is for you” she grinned as she tapped her box with her thumb and a name appeared on it with tiny script below it. Levi Kenning’s Lost Treats…”I had to, also I had my aunt charm it so other people can only see the name not the extra details” she grinned. Seeeee Mel was quick witted like that – ”don’t want gryffindors punning you to Polaris and back”
