With pursed lips, she continued to watch Levi, hoping for some kind of breakthrough.
Oh. And so it continues.
Althea exhaled deeply, shaking her head at Levi ready to respond when Bentley arrived. She glanced up at him and flashed him a small smile. " Hey," she tried to sound enthused but just the brief (one-sided) conversation with Levi had drained her. " Come sit if you want," she offered before staring pointedly at Levi. " You can't avoid this forever, y'know. At some point you'll need to stop being childish," which was rich, coming from her, but she didn't see it that way. Her hands, she noticed, had been balled up into fists as she spoke, so she relaxed them and tried to will away any negative thoughts. Levi probably wanted to keep his front up while Bentley was there, so Althea would let him. She turned to Bentley and asked, " How have you been?" Quote:

It seemed like the sixth year lion had walked in on something. He certainly hadn't picked up on it when he got there but now...now he could feel it. He shifted a little and looked between the both of them. "I swear you two are worse than Heath and I." And those two were almost always arguing. As far as Bentley was concerned, he was cursed with the most annoying sibling in the world.
He took the window seat across from Althea at her invitation in. "I've been good. Cut Levi some slack. It's a long ride back." He put his feet up on the spot next to where Althea was sitting and folded his hands behind his head so he could rest against it. He was being purposely antagonistic which was wholly unbecoming and the sort of behaviour he'd usually deem both unnecessary and exhausting. But Levi was a little tired of Althea assuming things about him or calling him dramatic in from of other people. It didn't matter that the only reason why his sister tried to come up with her own explanations about his behaviour were because he had not wanted to speak up to her or Declan.
Sometimes it was better to stew on things. Or not. It made no difference at this point; too long had passed for him to back down now, not that Levi thought any of it was his fault.
The boys smiled at his sister, openly and innocently. "I don't have to do anything." Which wasn't really true. There were plenty of things Levi had to do if he didn't want daily howlers from home. Or worse, for his parents to show up, barge into one of his classes and lecture him in front of everyone. But, anyway. Bentley would just have to be the buffer for now. Fortunately for everyone. "Oh, yes, cut Levi some slack, Althea. It is a very long ride to the castle." He'd always wonder why portkeys weren't just used. Seemed faster, more efficient. Though he supposed less opportunities for teenagers to mingle and be social or whatever it was adults expected them to do. "I like the way you think, Bentley. Anyway, how was paradise after we left it?" He had some fond memories.
