Jude Law
commented for the first time about taking on the role of Albus Dumbledore in the
Fantastic Beasts film series, this past Tuesday evening while promoting the opening of his new West End stage production of
Obsession at The Barbican Centre in London (
tickets available here).
To no surprise, Law's first interest and target was of course
Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling, with whom he would love to meet so as to dig deeper into the inner workings of the younger version of Dumbledore in the next four
Fantastic Beasts movies.
Quote:
Jude Law: "My first port of call I hope is to meet J.K. Rowling and to talk exactly about that and who he is and who she wants him to be and learn a little bit more about her vision of this great man as a young man."
The sequel to
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them will hit theaters in November 2018 and stars Law with Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Alison Sudol, Dan Fogler, Ezra Miller, Zoe Kravitz, Callum Turner, and Johnny Depp.
