Settling on the flag first, his blue eyes scanned the rest of the merchandise for a second item - maybe one of the plushie mascots? - when he heard his name. HOLY FLAMING SALAMANDERS IT WAS HER! DID SHE KNOW WHO SHE WAS? Well, no, that was a silly question because of course she knew who she was. Was she aware that she confused his theory about Gryffindor girls all being blonde? Because she did. Unless that wasn't her natural color.

And now he was unabashedly staring at her hair.

Next thing he knew her lips were moving but he was too busy staring at her hair to really compute what was happening and really only caught her 'already' - so everything else had gone in one ear and out the other. Oops? "How come there is-s-s no merchandis-se of you?" he asked in lieu of a response.
