Which was stupid because there were SO MANY other things people should be focused on! Like the portal. And MONSTERS. And instead people just kept asking about his hair.

Frowning, he rolled his eyes and sighed heavily. "Yes, ok, it's HIGHLIGHTED. Not naturally this BLONDE but still BLONDE. Happy now?" he asked her, raising eyebrow.

It took her a moment to realize that the boy was looking back at her. Oh, his eyes were pretty too. Surely this boy didn't have cooties. Her brother did, that was for sure. But this boy looked a little older, so maybe he grew out of them. Were cooties something you could grow out of? Her dad didn't have cooties, so maybe it was.

Still in a daze, Natalie missed most of what the boy was saying about his hair. Blonde... something about a highlighter. Happy now? Well, she wasn't unhappy before...

"I... What?"
