Fluttery Pegasi Hadley took a deep breath, and look down at the parchment in her hands. Then she looked up at the door in front of her. And back down at the report. She frowned. Despite months of working on it, it didn't feel good about it. Yet, it was probably the first time she wasn't merely BSing her way through an essay.
The essay in her hands might have been one of her best, and yet, still it didn't feel good enough. She tapped her fingers nervously against her thigh, and then, forcing herself to stop, began absently biting her nails. Why was this stressing her out so much?
The answer hung like a noose in her mind: because that's how badly she wanted this.
No, it wasn't ready. She should look it over one more time and maybe rewrite parts. Even as she thought it, she knew that wouldn't make her feel any more like it was done. Like it was good enough. Asher rubbed his head against her cheek reassuringly. Hads nodded. "You're right," she told the ferret, and with a sigh, knocked on the door.
