Juno gave her a small smile. "It's ok, I should have expected it." Juno loved to read but not necessarily history stuff. Though she obviously found anything about fighting interesting. She was more of a fiction reader than a non-fiction reader. But she knew history could be really compelling. "That's amazing. Our library at home is kind of the same, though your books are much older." She meant it as a compliment. old books were hard to find.
Why was Juno so emotional lately? This was completely unlike her. She was the solid one that never cried. Esme was the crier. But maybe a little of her sister was rubbing off on her. Esme was sure a lot stronger these days. Juno appreciated that the Professor understood her. It was nice to have adults to talk to when her parents were so far away."Yes. He is a seventh year. I'm scared...," she paused for a moment to swallow the lump in her throat, "...that he is going to change his mind and see that I am not worth it or find another girl that would be easier for him to be with because she is right there and I'm...not." She took a ragged breath and another tear streamed down her face. She hadn't even talked to Esme about all of this yet, let alone admitted to herself that she was feeling this way.
But that wasn't why she was here. She needed to say her peace about what happened in class. "I don't expect anything. I want you to know that. I wholeheartedly agree with you. I shouldn't have been passing notes, especially since I am a prefect. I deserve what ever punishment you see fit." She looked down at her hands, that were bunched in a nervous ball.
