Rosalyn hadn't meant to scare Juno. "Sorry about that." Really she should remember that speaking out of nowhere could startle people. At least it seemed that her book collection had made quite the impression. "Oh, yes. Some of those I have had from when I was younger, some are ones that my family gave to me, and others I got at book stores... some second hand." That was where a lot of the older ones came from. The ones that hadn't been from her grandparents at least.
It didn't take long for them to get to the true reason for the visit, however, and it made Rosalyn sad to see her student so close to tears. That was not going to change her view on what happened though. Circumstances aside, she was a Prefect and an example for the other students - especially the younger ones. "I understand that. I know what it's like to not see your boyfriend much." A few of her past relationships were like that. "I assume you two are going to do the long distance thing next term?" A valid question, as some couples chose to break up instead, despite loving each other. |
