"Let no one ever say that Hogwarts is boring." She off-handedly told Tenacius, still watching Professor Stewart leave the room. Welp, Daisy dearly hoped they wouldn't need a new Transfiguration Professor next year. If Hogwarts ever opened again, of course. As far as schools went, there had to be safer ones.
People were talking about helping Healer Reed and Daisy perked up at that. Yes, don't count on her to fight the monster but she was perfectly capable of fetching blankets and stuff. Also, where were the dogs? Did the monster also eat dogs? Were they safe? Just as she was about to ask the man that, the ever familiar sound of the Headmistress' voice echoed again and Daisy stilled.
So, it had happened then. To first years. Like her brother.
Selfishly, she felt relieved for a moment. First years had been taken by the monster, none of them Maxton. That meant that the monster was gone and that Maxton was safe. She felt horrible for the little kids but this at least proved that her little brother was safe for now. It wasn't an ideal situation but it would do for her. Until Hattie spoke, of course. "Harriet, be sensible." She turned to the younger old with a stern face. "You're a third year." Heck, she was a fifth year and she was still not going. No, sir. Thank you for the offer. Let the adults handle this since they had done almost nothing to stop it, apparently. With a last pointed look at the Hufflepuff which clearly said 'stay right here and don't do anything stupid', the Slytherin turned back to the Healer, virtually ignoring the Headmistress' address. "What do you need help with, Sir?" What were they even preparing for, though?
