Daisy was kidding here, alright? She briefly wondered if there was any need to specify that but ended up deciding against it. Matt wouldn't really talk to the Headmistress about her, would he?
Would he?
Her eyes moved to his Gryffindor tie and she wrinkled her nose. He might, actually. "Errr ... some of them, yeah." She replied when he asked about the student leaders. Most she only knew by name, of course, but some were impossible not to know. Honestly, half of the Falmouth Falcons team when she had been younger was in there. "Some of them became professionals." She paused there for a second, watching him closely, before finally making a decision. They were .. friends. Friends who had been on a date, but yeah. Moving towards the Slytherin student leaders, Daisy turned to smile briefly at him and then nodded towards the Head Boys and Prefects area. "My parents are in there." No. That sounded weird. With a chuckle, she tried again. "I mean, their names. Are there." Let him try and guess their names. That would be funny.
Potentially hilarious, even, knowing Matt.
She would ignore the slight pink tinge his face had decided to gain for now; she was sure it was just mirroring hers, anyway. There were some things that she honestly rather not think about, so she was more than grateful when he changed the subject to the letter. "No! Everything is fine! It's just the rest of the birthday wishes." She rolled her eyes good-heartedly at that. Honestly, her birthday had been a week ago and she was still getting happy birthday letters from her family. The Cardens were ... intense for lack of a better word. As to why she needed peace and quiet... "It's not so much that. It's the room itself." Given that she had told him about her parents' names, it wouldn't be too difficult to put two and two together, right? Yeah, no need in explaining it again.
He seemed to have understood what she had meant and she chuckled even as she watched him walk closer to her. Make some noise, eh? "That does sound like you, actually." It sounded exactly like him, really. Things are quiet so let's make a mess. She grinned widely at him, all of her pearly whites on show, as he finally reached her. She was still thinking about how he probably had to go somewhere -- most likely another Gryffindor house party -- before she realised that he was getting closer. And then her lips were on hers.
!!!!!!!
So that was unexpected. Surprisingly, the first thought that crossed her mind was her friend Eddie kissing her in the playground when they were kids and how she ended up punching him. But this wasn't the same. She wasn't eight years old and she liked Matt -- however confusing those feelings might be . Curiously, she pressed her lips closer to his for a second before pulling away, cheeks burning.
Okaaaaaaaay. What was happening? "So." She cleared her throat, suddenly incapable of looking at him. Nope, this felt weird. WEIIIRD. "Quite busy, then."
..... What? "A howler might work better, actually." Matt said and the laughter he let out echoed through the entire Trophy Room. "Imagine that!" He managed to say while trying to catch his breath.
The boy could picture it in his head and it was HILARIOUS.
He'd definitely consider that. If not fo the award, then just for the lulz. HAHA! Amazing. "Mhmm..." Matt nodded as if he knew what she was talking about. He didn't, really, because he was not THAT into Quidditch. Fun to watch and all, but only to a certain extend. Sometimes he got bored quicker than the game ended. But the next bit of info she let out was kind of interesting! And the extra line she added to the fact her parents were there made him laugh out loud again. "I know it's their names!" He cracked up. "I didn't know they played here in the school." He had heard they used to have Quidditch and stuff at Hogwarts, but that was backkkk in the day. Like, over a decade ago or something. His cousin Sophie was in school in the last few years they had Quidditch and she was ANCIENT!
Lol.
Birthday? "Is it your birthday today??" What day was that? Matt didn't have a clue. Monday, was it? March or April? Heck, he didn't know. Oh well. "Happy birthday! Or belated birthday? Or early birthday, maybe!" There, all bases covered. All good!
Matt also didn't really understand why the room was so special and why some peace loved peace and quiet, so he just shrugged. "If you say so." Alrighty then!
Once she pulled away from his kiss, he had a half smug, half cheeky smile on his face. He could see her face was pink and for some reason that amused him to no end. That fact made his own warm face go back to its normal colour a lot quicker.
She hadn't pushed him away or any terrible thing like that, so he was happy and a lot more at ease. Maybe a little too much. "Of course, I can't not see my girlfriend on her birthday!" Never mind he wasn't even sure that was her actual birthday. Matt would never get that right anyways.
