Why was this still going on? She didn't have anything else to say. She just wanted to be as far away as possible. Nothing really mattered anymore. She had a headache that was growing stronger by the second. She listened but still didn't lift her eyes. She couldn't look at the woman for she knew she would lose her emotions if she moved more than the smallest amount. She heard her talking and she bit her tongue. The things she wanted to say, the things she wanted to do. Throwing the chair in her frustrations sounded nice in her head, but she knew it wouldn't go well so she stayed sitting.
She looked up at the woman, but she barely saw the woman. "It was wrong because children should just do what they are told. They should just listen and obey because what the adult says is what is correct and the child is not.They should be seen and not heard. " Her mother's words easily came out of her mouth with this answer. That's what they really wanted, wasn't it? It's what this was all about.
