The first team (Team Destruction) were nearly there. The arm that had been breaking away now broke away completely from the impact of the Severing Charm. The arm fell limply, and almost dramatically, to the floor, leaving some broken strings by the dummy's shoulder.
The added in Expelliarmus did what the Shield Charm couldn't do: get the dummy retract its arm away from the Hufflepuff. Good job, Head Girl.
But the threat wasn't over just yet. The dummy might have no means of getting to the students but it was still there, alive and with one arm still working.
______________
The second team (Team BEN) weren't doing badly. It seemed as though the Gryffindor Prefect (Noelle) had the right idea: the stronger version of the fire spell hit the dummy's abdomen and started burning another, larger hole in it. It was only a matter of seconds before the entire dummy was lit up from head to toe...
The force of the Sucking Charm was enough to make the dummy slowly, but surely, sink towards the ground and into a pile of ashes.
Good job, team.
______________
The third team (Team Defenders) were doing better. Much better, in fact. The Incarcerous Charm did what it was supposed to do: ropes flew out and wrapped themselves around the oncoming dummy, stopping it from moving any more than it should. The Langlock spell was enough to get it to finally stop cackling in the menacing way it did before.
It was lucky for them that there wasn't a kerfuffle of movement and so, the Stunning Spell combined with the Full Body Bind Curse managed to get it to stop moving completely.
Good job, team. Maybe some fire would help...
______________
The Slytherin's (Junia) resilience showed in her spell casting. No sooner had the Orbis been cast, the dummy started slowly sinking downwards and into the floor of the room. It tried to move this way and that to avoid the ground but the Gryffindor's (Char) Incarcerous Charm stopped the movements altogether.
Well done, indeed.
______________
A new team of students (Team Fire) had formed and were attacking one of the dummies that didn't know they were there. The fire spell hit the dummy that the Defenders had been working on and immediately set it alight. The Silencing Charm, though unnecessary, was sure to have worked its charm on the immobile dummy.
Good display of teamwork right there.
______________
Another new team (Team Gryffindor) were also late to the party but they seemed to have the right idea. Before the dummy that was focused on Team Destruction could move any further, the Full Body Bind Curse hit it and stopped it from moving any closer towards either groups.
The Knockback Jinx was a little stronger, probably because of the girl's experience. No sooner had it hit the dummy, it flew backwards and away from both groups of students. It was almost like a piece of cinematic scene wherein the dummy made a small arch in the air before landing on its back and on the floor with a loud THUMP!
That was more like it.
