He'd chime in, though.
Raising his hand, he said, "Board games are designed on a piece resembling a board, only it's decorated with the theme of the game." He didn't want it to seem like he was suggested that it was just a plain, wooden board. "All the game play centers around the board. Umm...I think somebody would want to play a board game, because they're not really dangerous, and it's something they can even do inside if the weather's bad." Quote:

Board games give you something fun to do." Isa was more of the type for running around outside games like tag, but she had fun playing board games with her family too. Family bonding times were the best. She loved her family more than anything else. Quote:

My family used to play tons of board games. We set one night a week aside to play them. It was our family night. Just thinking about board games gave her good memories of her childhood. So many wonderful memories made. Quote:

"Board games are played on a board made of cardboard, wood or maybe plastic. You also have some game pieces or tokens. The object is often to get your tokens around the board before your opponent or to get from one side of the board to the other first. Board games are fun to play and some of them require you to really think and use strategy. Playing them can also help you develop good sportsmanship." Quote:

It was sort of fitting, considering he had just played a muggle board game a couple days ago with Remy. But it might be best not to think about that right now. He was in class and emotions were distracting. He raised his hand to answer the first question. "They're called board games because if you're bored you want to play them." And then he laughed because he was hilarious. Sure he knew the name was probably because they were typically played on a board, but lots of people had already said that so there was no point in him repeating them. Quote:

Also, did she know what they were? PSSH. "Their name is pretty accurate. Games that revolve around a board." Hand raised in the air, the Slytherin grinned cheekily at her own words. "Some of them have a lot of complicated rules, others not so much. They're mostly pretty fun, especially when you can't go outside OR if your younger siblings want you to play with them but they're too young for Quidditch." Yes. Board games: for when Quidditch is not an option. SPOILER!!: Why do we play board Games? Quote:

Sure he could give the definition.. but he wanted to say why he would play a board game instead! So the seventh year raised his hand and spoke,. " My family actually had a few board games, and we would play them as a family to have togetherness time.. It was a time to connect and have fun together.. I always looked forward to our game nights. " He said smile. Quote:

Since others had already defined what a board game was, she decided to answer a little differently. "Well.. board games are generally played with a goal that a player wants to achieve? The purpose is to win, generally." Etta said. "We play them.. to relax. To forget about our problems for a little while?" Yes? Did that make sense? She leaned back against her seat and listened to the other answers. Quote:

Board games had definitely been defined by many alright. "Board games are a good thing to do on a rainy day." Her and Phillip and the other siblings would play board games on rainy days when they couldn't go outside to play. Quote:

"You play board games-s when you're bored," he chirped. Quote:

He smiled as he scanned the list of board games. Good, good, good. "Why wouldn't we play it?! It's not only because we're bored it's because it's FUN. It's very easy to realize that if you actually play it." So like, moving on now. Would they get to actually play one? Like actually? IN CLASS? He had to ask, curiousity was killing him. "So, professor, are we going to play some? Are we, professor? Have you brought some here, professor? Can I be the dog in Monopoly, professor? I already know all the rules, professor." Now. Let's get started with this, professor.
Grabby. Hands. Quote:

Liv liked to WIN. It was as simple as that. "I personally play them to beat people, because I'm a fierce, fearless competitor." No truer words have ever been spoken, amright? "... And winning can make you feel wonderful, at times when you sincerely need it." Similar to a confidence boost, you see? "You really should add Scrabble to your list, Professor. It's educational AND fun."
Olivia played it with her mum, and lost more times than not, but her vocabulary was an impressive one. Quote:

He raised his hand. "There are all types of board games - some even revolve around creating your own character and using them to complete tasks. I think they're called role playing games," he answered. THOSE were super fun! Quote:

"Some people don't like a lot of active games like sports, but they still want to play a game and have fun, so maybe board games would be preferable to them."
Kay called out on her students randomly, making notes on the whiteboard. She couldn’t help but chuckle at Oliver’s definition. “Oh, so close, Mr Borzekowski-Thomas!’’ she said with her eyes twinkling. “I like the way you put that, however.’’ And he was thinking out of the box, yes? Or was he simply trying to be funny? Whatever the reason, she appreciated the answer regardless. “Excellent replies, everyone,’’ she stated in general to the class with great enthusiasm. The notes on the board had expanded now. But there seemed to be at least one other person in the room who was more enthusiastic than her. “You’ll have to wait and see, Mr Lewis! You just might have your wish.’’ Kay was all chuckles again. She had some absoloutely adorable younger ones in here today! “You’re free to make your notes and while you do that, can you tell me if you have a favourite board game? Can you give a brief overview of how it’s played please? For those of you who have never played any, you can tell us about a particular game you’d want to try and why. Ms Phillips, since you have already suggested Scarbble, why don’t you lead us off with an overview?’’ In the meanwhile, she would add the suggestion to the board. SPOILER!!: The Silent Kiddo! <3 Quote:

But if you were asking her when she had last played a video game or something related to electronics then her answer would have been different. But now… She just found those games boring and she secretly hoped that they weren’t going to play them during today’s lesson. Deciding to not answer and to just listen she stayed silent because, why answer if she didn’t liked any of it anyway?
No answer to the questions from Leesha but Kay knew that the Slytherin was paying attention. This was enough for her. Quote:
