Carlton liked Spring. It meant it was time to get out the Spring socks. His favorite was the ones with the dandelions on them. But the ones with roses were OK. Today's socks: Green with sunflowers. Unfortunately he couldn't show them off, because shoes existed. Shoes weren't nearly as much fun as socks.
After returning from the portal and dealing with everything that came with that, fresh air let his lungs feel big and useful. Not cramped and restricted. He didn't usually go to the courtyard, there were too many older students there. And they were tall as trees with booming laughter and big nasty robes that hit him in the face. He much rather preferred to hang out in the pathways or down by the lake.
But he braved the big trees older students and found himself in the courtyard, doing a little twirl in the sun. He couldn't help but notice the singing. BEAUTIFUL SINGING. Carlton strutted towards the sound, knowing perfectly well who it would lead him to. Mamamamamamamamamamama. "Liv-Liv-Liv-Liv-Liv." He murmured to himself as he spotted her through a group of people. Excuse you, tall Ravenclaw-man, coming through. Carlton beamed as he made his way over to Liv where she was dancing with a younger girl. A girl he recognized but didn't know. Friend. "LIV!" He bounced. Notice me, notice me. Down here, notice me, please.
