The knock didn't startle her (she was used to moments where her family barged in on one another,) but she turned around. Althea pushed Amias to the side of her bag (if she didn't see him, she wouldn't ask questions, right?) and offered the girl a half-grin. "It's a free world, girl, do whatever you want." She would have ended the conversation right there, but something about her felt familiar.
Turning around again--she needed to gather enough evidence, just to be sure--she stared at the girl, thinking hard about where she'd seen her before. With a scrunched up face, Althea had an aha! moment, which led to her frowning. "You're the girl whose been hangin' around my brother, yeah?" What was her name? She'd tired to grill both Declan and Levi mercilessly about the girls they hung around, but they were always so tight-lipped about names. "Noemi, right?" Probably. Mostly likely. Definitely, not her name.
