Lanna grinned widely, about to tell her sister aaall about how Aaron had grown too--since she hadn't managed to become taller than him yet--when Ru finally got inside and her father had come to join them. She might have hugged her eldest sister too but her parents had beaten her to it and now her hand was secured inside her father's. The 9 year old didn't mind one bit. It wasn't often that her WHOLE family got to be in the same room anymore.
"He has a tail too!" She enthused when Ru asked about their father's costume. "It's very fluffy, like Buster's AND he can make the ears move with magic." So basically, her father was winning at life right now. Which reminded her. "Can I have bunny ears too?"
Hearing that Hassan needed help in the kitchen and realizing it was where Abey must have been, Lanna tugged free of her father's hand and followed Juni there.

Her volume lowered significantly the moment Kitty entered the kitchen. By now she was very used to the woman being married to her cousin and but she wasn't that used to her in general, so she would stand silently hugging her cousin, no response to the woman's cheerful greeting and no stares in her direction either.
