Wowza! Levi was about to object to Declan but then realized that he couldn't because whatever he said would be a lie and because he also didn't want to. It would have been malicious, anyway, and though he enjoyed fighting Althea, Levi often drew the line at saying anything that could genuinely hurt her feelings. Not that the feeling was always returned, but oh well.
And, anyway, Declan was absolutely right anyway. He already super loved Althea. It was a sentiment that all three Kenning men shared.
He shot Declan a suspicious look. Levi didn't necessarily have a problem with his brother taking charge, and in fact, he did prefer it; but there was something inherently messed up about the situation not being a little more balanced. He also did not want to feel like a terrible brother for not looking after Declan the way Declan would be looking after him. "I don't agree with this." This was not an easy thing to admit. "I know you're trying to take care of us, and I am glad." He shot Althea a glance from over Declan's head. "But you can't expect us to sit by and do nothing. This is serious." Not that they'd not dabbled with serious before but it actually became a concern when they were not (at least a little bit) in control. A portal that quite literally sucked people in was completely uncharted territory. Levi took a deep breath and did his best at appearing perfectly calm, though he was not. "What about the protean charm? It's supposed to be complex and I've never even tried it, but." He shrugged.
They had done worse. Or, better. He supposed it depended on the situation. "Wait, what about Peeves?" He frowned. "Who cares about him? He's probably farting all over someone's face as we speak." To say nothing of the other two members of his insufferable family.
