Despite all the shenanigans they had been through that night (how long had they been out there??), Althea was glad that they were all safe. Even Daisy. While she always held Declan in high regard as her most reliable brother, she had to admit that Levi fell into Older Brother Mode with ease. Her respect for him increased by about one percent. For that, she released Declan from her embrace and hugged Levi. It was a very picturesque moment, in her mind, and she was sure if their parents (namely their father) could see them now, they'd want pictures to commemorate.

"Oh, Daisy," she said suddenly, releasing Levi. "Good job, y'know, for not dying and for being alright." Which was the nicest thing Althea could muster for someone she barely knew. Daisy wasn't as bad as Althea wanted her to be (she didn't trust her fully!!!) but she would allow her to be an acquaintance, of sorts. She actually wanted to thank her for being there because her presence was probably the reason why they all managed to make it out unscathed. She was certain that had the three of them done this alone, Declan probably would've been coughing up more than an insect.

Walking over to where Daisy had the scarab trapped, she removed it and placed the scarab on the palm of her hand. "Okay, are you going to explain why we need this?" She actually did not want to hear the explanation at all--because whatever it was, she just knew it was not going to be good--but she was still sort of curious. "Now that the shock has worn off," she started. In all honesty, Althea wasn't afraid of (most) bugs; it was just overwhelming to see something fly out of her brother's previously possessed mouth. "I can now see that it's sort of harmless, and kind of cute." After saying this, she felt a strange pull towards the bug.

It seemed that Declan was not completely done with Daisy. Althea kept quiet as he placed the lavender stone in Daisy's hand; she had no idea what she was in for. If Althea wasn't so cynical, she'd almost feel sorry for her.
