Post 'Harry Potter and the Cursed Child' plays nominated for record 11 Olivier Awards

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child has been nominated for record-breaking 11 Olivier Awards - the most prestigious theater awards giving out in the U.K. - this year. Among the nominees are Best New Play, Best Director (John Tiffany), Best Actor (Jamie Parker as Harry Potter), Best Supporting Actress (Noma Dumezweni as Hermione Granger), and Best Supporting Actor (Anthony Boyle as Scorpius Malfoy).

Additionally, Harry Potter film actor Sir Kenneth Branagh (Gilderoy Lockhart) will receive a Special Award at the ceremony for his outstanding contribution to British theater. The 2017 Olivier Awards will take place live on April 9, 2017 at London’s Royal Albert Hall.
