Kitty obviously had a whole lot to unload and Daisy followed the Ravenclaw to the railing, leaning back against the cold stone, her blue eyes trained on the Ravenclaw. It was refreshing to hear someone -- someone with a badge!! -- speak so honestly about this whole portal!disappearance situation and the Slytherin listened intently even as she busied herself with the unwrapping of a chocolate frog.

They were all scared and there was nothing wrong with admitting that.

"I won't tell anyone about what you said, you're okay." She whispered to the girl, her tone indicating that she was trying to lighten the mood but she was truthful. Surely Prefects unloaded their concerns on each other but Kitty was missing her teammate. She knew what that felt like. "Obviously, I don't know if you guys know more than the students but I think it's okay to admit that you're worried." Was that a Slytherin thing to say? EH, she didn't know anymore. Shrugging her own thoughts away, she bit off the head of the chocolate frog and watched it closely for a few seconds. "I think everybody is worried, some are just not admitting it." She looked at the Prefect once more and offered her a small smile as well as a wrapped chocolate frog. "Chocolate can make you feel better, you know?"

Even if only for a little while.

When the girl mentioned Carlton, Daisy's smile turned sad. "I don't think I've ever exchanged more than a couple sentences with him, really." Passwords to the common rooms, directions to classrooms. The normal stuff. Still, the boy was a first year. Her brother was a first year and the thought of anything of the sort happening to Maxton sent her stomach into a frozen, knotted frenzy. "Still, he is so sweet. He is missed in the Common Room." And it was true. Carlton was a joy to be around. Soon enough, he would be back. He had to. "They'll come back. All of them. Rooney, Carlton and ... Henry." She had been trying to act as if Henry hadn't been taken, as if he was still around somewhere, but it was getting harder as the days went by.

She turned around and watched the view for a while before turning to the Prefect. "You didn't make me feel bad, don't worry about that. And you seem pretty stable to me." Except for that one History of Magic lesson that had led to the Ravenclaw storming out which had been weird. STILL, water under the bridge and completely insignificant when compared to the current events. "We'll all pull through this. It will be fine." She agreed at last, not really wanting to admit that she had some doubts regarding that. Best to remain optimistic, right?
