Another duel for the year and another 4th year Gryffindor as an opponent. What a coincidence. Although Cassie couldn’t say she and Geneva Tate were the friends she and Olivia were. She would just have to see if that made any real difference in the course of the duel. The Ravenclaw had already been made well aware over the years that every duel could be completely different…it was all a matter of the mix of skills and personality that made up each of the two duelers. Or three duelers as she had witnessed in the duels involving professors.
Nevertheless, Cassie had to be prepared for anything , or at least try to be. And when she stepped onto the dueling area of the arena she hoped she was. Outfitted correctly, she took a deep breath before bowing to her opponent out of respect and tradition, raising her wand as she straightened her body to take the first volly for herself. “Locomotor Mortis!” she cast almost as a warm-up, quickly following it up with “Ebublio!” The Ravenclaw hoping at least one of the spells had some effect on Geneva.
