"Well, i just wanted you to hear it from me first, but ... impregnant." the words came out quickly and almost incomprehensible, so she said it again, more clearly. "Ahem, sorry, I mean, I'm pregnant." There. Done. Here comes the lecture now; she'd already received one from her parents, who were most definitely shocked at first.
