A curfew, in Althea's unsolicited opinion, was unnecessary. Tucking the students in early wouldn't prevent more abductions from happening. Why not just let it happen? She was sure that wherever those lost students were they at least had the prospect of not having homework to look forward to. She decided to put off doing homework--she would feign emotional distress and anxiety over whether or not she and her brothers would also be abducted next if the professor asked--and wandered into the common room.
Althea was surprised to see cupcakes and refreshments. She wondered if they were commemorating something. She picked up a cupcake and inspected it carefully before taking a bite. "Are we celebrating something?" Because if they were, everyone was under-dressed and the decor was underwhelming. She was trying to do the whole 'socializing' thing, because people often commented that she was unapproachable, cold, and self-absorbed. And while all those things were true, Althea did not need others keeping away from her when she thrived off of attention. "We need some form of entertainment," she said with a slight nod. Despite how annoyed she was at Declan and Levi, she was trying to figure out a way to pilfer some cupcakes inconspicuously to give to them later.
