Mariel had been quite busy this morning, but that was not unusual. She was fairly busy every morning unless she specifically rescheduled her day otherwise. She knew that she had a meeting with Lucas today to go over some of the details for the WERPS summit, but in the meantime she worked on some pending paperwork on her desk.

She had lost track of time somewhat when she heard a knock at the door. Looking up at the clock, she realized that it must be Lucas as it was just about that time. And that was confirmed as she heard his voice. "Come on in, Lucas. Why don't you have a seat." She gestured to the chairs in front of her desk.
